Voting Optional

There seems to be a lot of hype regarding Senator Barack Obama, and his glamorous bid for the presidency.  Unfortunately, the support he has drawn from the younger crowd seems to be just that, hype.  Obama has a finely tuned speaking voice, and has a great knack for charisma.  The sad thing is, it takes more than that to be a president. 

And there is more to Barack Obama than meets the eye. 

1.  Sure, he’s opposed to the war in Iraq, but is all for fighting other countries in the same boat that Iraq was in at the beginning of this war.  There is no way to know how any military action will go, because pretty much any situation could turn out badly. 
2. Sure, abortion is really not as big of a deal as some make it, but the fact is the fact.  In most cases, abortions are done out of the fact that people have no self-control.  They don’t use protection or anything, and find it easy to just abort a living, breathing human life than to just nip it in the bud early on.  Obama is all for pretty much any sort of abortion, which again is not a huge deal, but puts America on the path to degradated system of values. 
3. Again, on the moral issues. Let’s face it, gay marriage just should not happen.  Period.  Let’s just say it doesn’t anatomically make sense.  Barack Obama wants to have it both ways: he’s a “Christian” but he wants to encourage Americans to misuse their body parts in ways God surely didn’t intend them for. 
4. While it is hard to tell how committed Obama is to his ‘church’ (Trinity United Church of Christ), it is easy to see that this church doesn’t exactly go the way it should.  What I mean is, these people are basically supremacist and racist.  They are adamant about teaching their people about black history, and the diaspora, etc., etc., etc.  Instead of centering their teachings around unification of all races, they make way too big of a deal out of their history. 
5. Basically, can he walk his talk? I highly doubt it: most of his speeches are planned rhetoric to suck people into his ideology.  What he says is honey to get the ignorant voters of America to stick to his campaign and give him the highest seat of power in the U.S.

I have a new slogan for the Barack Obama campaign: “Ignorance is Bliss.”
